Within the dynamic financial team, the credit controller has a key role: collecting premiums and handling claims, with the aim of minimizing credit risks through incisive accounts receivable management and analysis of account trends.

The credit controller regularly provides clear reports on developments within our portfolio and takes proactive steps to continuously improve our processes and service, always with a professional and high-quality approach.

As lead credit controller, you will not only manage the day-to-day operations within controlled processes, but you will also be responsible for overall credit control reporting, supporting, leading and overseeing the team with a keen eye for quality and efficiency.

Activities

  • Oversight and execution of daily credit control activities, including careful maintenance of relevant ledgers.
  • Active communication and collaboration with clients, brokers, policy and claims management, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and send statements for brokers, friendly reminders and other targeted communications.
  • Skillfully prepare and process claim payments.
  • Closely reconciling cash receipts.
  • Continuous monitoring of items in review, with regular reporting on progress.
  • Strict quality controls to ensure highly accurate data is generated.
  • Enforcement of strict financial controls on credit control.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of closing activities and reports, including clear explanations and advice as needed.
  • Careful and timely execution of ICF / J-Sox controls and audit files.
  • Performing activities according to clearly agreed and documented procedures, including updating outdated methods.
  • Collaborate with IT, business and other finance colleagues to drive continuous service improvements.

Profile

  • Sound business acumen. Experience in financial services is required, preferably with a dynamic insurance company.
  • Strong collaboration skills, driven and full of energy.
  • Deep understanding of risks and controls.
  • Analytical ability, with an eye for detail.
  • Bachelor's degree (in a finance discipline) with relevant qualifications and work experience.
  • Solid knowledge of financial processes, systems and controls.
  • Accounting expertise.
  • Excellent skills in Excel.

  • Enjoy a monthly salary based on 38 hours, for which you are rewarded for 40 hours of work per week. This entitles you to 13 additional vacation days per year, bringing the total to 40 days (27 vacation days 13 HVT days).
