For our international client we are looking for an internationally oriented claims handler. Our client is a renowned and leading specialist broker with a healthy ambition for growth. In order to realize this growth we are looking for a claims handler who in addition to substantive know-how also brings a good dose of perseverance and a good team spirit.

Activities

Handling and strategic planning of national and international maritime claims
Processing and updating claims data in the database, establishing adequate reserves and administering payments
Communicating about claims in Dutch and English
Working with and supervising experts and lawyers
Negotiating to obtain optimal outcome of claims
Keeping all internal and external stakeholders fully informed
Maintaining your professional knowledge by attending symposia, conferences and meetings and studying professional literature.
Attend networking and industry events: you will be the business card of the Claims department

Profile

You preferably have 5-10 years of relevant work experience with an advanced understanding of the maritime claims process. A legal degree is a plus.
An advanced knowledge of Hull & Machinery claims is a plus.
You have the ability to build effective relationships, have excellent language skills (Dutch and English) and you are an excellent communicator.
You have good negotiation skills, not avoiding professional discussion.
You have a strong customer focus and sense of responsibility.

Salary between €5500,- the and €8500,- per month;
