Junior claims handler

Rotterdam / Remote 32-40 hours p.w. Fixed 3.3k - 5.4k / mo Posted on December 11th

Are you someone who delights in structure, accuracy and solving puzzles in complex files? Do you enjoy keeping an overview, checking details and being the connecting factor between different parties? Then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

For a leading international insurance company we are looking for a Junior Claims Handler. In this role you will support the claims handling team and ensure that claims reports are handled smoothly and carefully. You are the spider in the web ensuring that all information is correct, documents are processed neatly and parties involved are always well informed.

Activities

  • Process new claims: You register reports (for example, a broken machine, transportation damage or fire damage) and make sure all documents get to the right place.
  • Completing files: Is information missing? Then you call or e-mail the customer, a damage expert or another party to complete the file.
  • Keep administration in order: You make sure all data in the system is correct, so colleagues are always working with up-to-date information.
  • Independently pick up small claims: Think follow-up claims or less complex reports that you handle from A to Z.
  • Arranging overviews and appointments: You prepare claim statements, schedule meetings and take care of administrative preparation for meetings or (business) trips.
  • Financial settlement support: You assist in reserving amounts for claims and process payments in the system.

Profile

  • You work carefully and flawlessly, whether entering amounts or checking documents.
  • You have a puzzler's mentality: you enjoy figuring out exactly how a file is put together and where the missing information can be found.
  • You switch easily between different tasks and know how to keep an overview, even when it is busy.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally, both with colleagues and with clients and external experts.
  • You have previous experience in an administrative role (experience within the insurance industry is a bonus).
  • You feel comfortable in an international, professional working environment where English is sometimes the working language.

Benefits

  • 13th month and vacation pay
  • 30 vacation days to rest well
  • NS Business Card
  • Training opportunities
  • Possibility to work from home
  • You will join a warm and close-knit team in which cooperation, positivity and knowledge sharing are key.

Has this piqued your interest? Then we would like to get in touch with you to respond to that interest and discuss the possibilities.
