We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Assistant Underwriter for an internationally operating specialist in marine liability insurance, based in the beautiful Veerhaven area of Rotterdam.

In this key role, you will support the Underwriting team with a variety of administrative and operational tasks. You will ensure that insurance policies, invoices, and client files are accurate down to the last detail, so that the organization continues to run smoothly and efficiently.

What will you do?

Accurately prepare and process insurance policies, invoices, and certificates.
Proactively manage current and expiring policies and handle all administrative steps in a timely manner.
Keep customer files complete, organized, and up to date.
Supporting underwriters with a variety of issues and contributing ideas for process improvements.
Providing excellent service to both business partners and internal colleagues.

What do you offer?

At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in marine insurance or policy administration.
Experience in administrative roles, data entry, and policy management.
Excellent command of English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative software.
Bachelor’s degree; Wft-Schade Zakelijk certification is a plus.
Meticulous, solution-oriented, and a true team player who is committed to improving processes.
